The NHS in the North West and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.
Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms
Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
- a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
- a new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.
Testing for coronavirus is not needed if you're staying at home.

TEXT MESSAGING SERVICE- Please ensure that the practice has your up to date telephone number. As of January 2019 we are enrolling a text messaging reminder service for patients. If we do not have your correct telephone number we will not be able to reach you.
PUBLICATION OF EARNINGS
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Conran Medical Centre in the last financial year was £82,600 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs, 1 part time GP and 1 locum GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.

NHS 111 is a free to call, non-emergency,medical helpline operating in England. The service is part of the countrys NHS telephone triage and advice services.
Available 24 hours a day, the NHS 11 service is intended for 'urgent but not life threatening' health issues.
This service is available for urgent healthcare assessment and you will be directed to the most suitable local service for your needs. If you are unsure as to what healthcare service you need to visit the NHS 111 service will signpost you to the most appropriate care fpr your condition for example a GP,local pharmacy,walk in centre,community based services,A&E or an emergency ambulance response.
Please note all prescription requests will take 48 hours to fufill, and the surgery cannot take prescription requests over the telephone.
